Homeless Legal

This content is currently in BETA / testing mode. If you have any issues, please contact admin@justicenet.org.au

Homeless Legal is a free outreach legal service for people experiencing homelessness or at risk of becoming homeless.

What we do

We work with volunteer lawyers to provide clients with advice about their rights and legal options in order to help them to resolve legal problems that may be having a negative impact on their life and housing.  Homeless Legal will help clients who require ongoing help to access other support services, including referral for legal representation via JusticeNet’s pro bono referral service, Pro Bono Connect.

How can Homeless Legal help me?

Homeless Legal can help clients with legal matters, including:

  • someone is chasing you for money
  • you have unpaid fines
  • you are having problems with your landlord, are being evicted or struggling to get a new rental
  • someone else is making decisions about your money or healthcare;
  • you have been the victim of a violent crime or domestic violence.

Hutt Street Centre
