Homeless Legal

This content is currently in BETA / testing mode. If you have any issues, please contact admin@justicenet.org.au

Homeless Legal is a free outreach legal service for people experiencing homelessness or at risk of becoming homeless.

What we do

We work with volunteer lawyers to provide clients with advice about their rights and legal options in order to help them to resolve legal problems that may be having a negative impact on their life and housing.

Homeless Legal will help clients who require ongoing help to access other support services, including referral for legal representation via JusticeNet’s pro bono referral service, Pro Bono Connect.

Homeless Legal can help clients with a wide range of legal questions.

You can ask us about any legal issue including:

  • problems with your landlord or being evicted;
  • disputes with your ex-partner (including where there has been domestic violence);
  • disputes about money.

We provide advice and might refer you to a more suitable legal service, depending on the help you need.

Where can I get help from Homeless Legal?

Are you at risk of or experiencing homelessness?
If yes, you can schedule an appointment with one of our volunteer solicitors by choosing from the three clinics listed below.
